Discover Your Ancestors’ Secret Lives

The Jon F. Popkey Genealogy Room at the Lewiston Public Library is pleased to present special guest, Lou Omel, LDS Family History Center Librarian, for a two-part instructional series about our databases, Ancestry Library Edition (ALE) and Heritage Quest Online (HQO).  Learn the secrets to finding the records for that elusive ancestor and help to piece their life back together!  These databases are two of the most popular avenues available for genealogical research.   They can both be accessed free of charge at our library location, and HQO can even be utilized by remote access through your own home computer with a Lewiston library card and through our website.

This is an exciting opportunity for those of you who may be just starting your research, or even for those who are more advanced.  These two databases are adding collections weekly and Mr. Omel is extremely knowledgeable on all aspects of genealogical research.

Learn about ALE (Ancestry Library Edition) Wednesday, November 14th, 6:30 pm

Learn about HQO (Heritage Quest Online) Wednesday, November 28th, 6:30 pm

Both sessions will be held in our Community Room.  The library will be closed to the public during these special events.

Please join us for this special program!  This may be the perfect time to start climbing your family tree!
