The British Are Coming!
As part of our ongoing “Battle of the Borrowed Books” the Library will host a concert given by The MacKenzie Highlanders’ Pipes & Drums on Monday, October 22nd starting at 6:30 P.M.
The concert will be held on the Library’s south lawn, weather permitting. Please bring chairs or a blanket to sit on.
With roots dating back to 1913, the band has provided entertainment at numerous events such as Highland Games, Celtic Festivals, parties, weddings, parades, Burn’s Dinners, Memorial Day celebrations and many other events. The band’s goals are to provide entertainment and training in piping and drumming for all who have love for the great highland bagpipe and pipe music. Free lessons are provided to those who wish to join the band. Practice is held every Monday evening at 7:30pm at the Riverside Presbyterian Church, 84th St. and Lindbergh Ave. in Niagara Falls.
