Congratulations to the winners in our Hardy Boys writing contest!
Congratulations to Gregory Avila-Shah and Caitlyn Kratts for their spectacular Hardy Boys stories! The writing contest was sponsored by the Children’s Room at the Lewiston Public Library and required the participants to create a brand new Hardy Boys story in the tradition of the original works. They were given an outline and had to use their own creativity and flair to write a unique and action-packed detective story. This contest came about after a special visit to the library from Mrs. Norah Perez, local author and the daughter of Leslie McFarlane, the original author of The Hardy Boys. Gregory will be entering fifth grade at Lewiston Porter in Lewiston, and Caitlyn will be in 6th grade at St. Dominic Savio Middle School in Niagara Falls.
